Hi guys, not going to write much. Just wanted to let you know i feel better and had a good meeting tonight.

Thanks for your words of wisdom Rowan. As for being a strength, I don't know what that could be.

Hi Everyone, I'm not feeling to good today. Recovery wise I am. so don't worry. I don't feel good physical. I have to get my butt to the Dr. I keep procrastinating. I hate Dr's. I was told back in June to get my thyroid checked and still haven't. I'm bad.

I just feel really tired today and I'm having girl problems again without going into detail. Got some boys that like to read my thread. He he. So I definitely need to get my thyroid check.

Otherwise, I'm doing OK. I have my speaker meeting tonight and I get to see my sponsor. I'm glad I get to see her every week and catch her up on what's going on with me.

Take care everyone
Barb

2 weeks

Hi Everyone, well i just got through another week. I didn't get to see my sponsor last night. I'm wondering if she's was sick. She never misses the Friday night meeting. I'll have to call her latter to find out.

I did get to see one of the girls from my home group last night. I got her phone #. I needed more #'s anyway, plus her being from my home group its good to have. We only have 3 active members from my group counting myself. It's kind of scary wondering what happened around here in my area. Back in the 90's when i was sober the rooms were packed. Now your lucky to have 10-12 people at all the meetings around here. Except for one of them that's still quite popular. I guess as long as i have a good support group that's all that matters.

Hi Everybody, I haven't wrote here in a couple of days. I'm still sober. My back and arm have been real bad the past couple of days again. I saw my Dr. today for my arm. Nothing new there. Same old, same old. I could of went back to PT, I will if it gets worse. There's not much they can do for me either.

Not much to say today. Still working my program, going to meetings, and not drinking.

Hi guys, I'm not going to be on here for long. I'm in extreme pain today. My back, ribs, shoulder, arm, neck, wrist, hand. All on the left side. I think its becuase of the change of seasons. this time of year is the worst for me.

i'm not going to be able to go to my meeting again tonight. I haven't been to a meeting since Sat. This sucks. But i know i won't be able to sit in those hard chairs for an hour. Even with my pillow. Not when its this bad.

The good news is at least my spirits are good today.

Hi Paperdolls,

There's not much the Dr. can do for me. I've had this condition since 1991. Back then everyone was diagnosing me wrong. My 1st husband hurt me real bad and that's what caused it.

My Dr. and i talked about Prescription drugs. But I'm afraid to take anything after the FDA took Vioxx off the market from people dieing. It wasn't a narcotic. Just a anti-inflammatory drug. Like Aleve. Now I'm allergic to that and broke out in hives. The first time they tried me on Naperxon I broke out in hives. That's the ingredient in Aleve.

We also talked about PT again. I've done that 6 times. They told me there's not much they can do for me either. I already know the exercises I'm supposed to do.
What i have is nerve pain. Not my muscles or bones. So moist heat is best when i hurt this bad.

I'm still hurting real bad tonight, but at least i can type on here now. Thank god i have you guys to talk to when i can't make my meetings. I know in AA it's suggested to do 90 meetings in 90 days. I'm just doing as many as I can. That's all i can do.

So for me, I have to accept my disability along with my alcoholism. That was my biggest reason for drinking the past 2 years. Feeling sorry for myself because of my arm and back and not begin able to work anymore.

Barb

Hi Guys, I'm feeling a little better today. I'm still hurting, but not like yesterday. I'm going to my meeting tonight. Yay. I'll have to take my pillow, but at least I'll be there. Tonight's the step meeting and I'm starting to make some new women friends there.

I got to tell you about my drunk dream last night when I took a hour nap. It was weird. It was a fancy bottle of rum and in my dream I could smell it and taste it. I felt like it was actually happening. I only had 1 though in my dream and 2 people i know in AA was in my dream and I asked them if it was alright to have just 1 for medicinally purposes. Isn't that weird. I woke up a little moody because I don't want to have them. My husband asked me if it was normal to have drunk dreams. I said yes. It still sucks though. Don't you think?
