32 days

32 days sober for me YAY

ah the emotional rollercoaster- what a ride- and a suprise i had no clue it would be like this- didnt hit me til the 30th day.
then BAMM outta no where

im up im down im mad im sad im glad im scared im happy im freaking out! LOL

okay im assuming its a result of the numbing ive done for so many years. i get that part

the other part i dont get is Now what?

Ive been resisting meetings

i havent gone to one yet since stopping this time.
i went a long long time ago
and never went back

i was overwhelmed by the people that came up to me, and one woman in particular- she said AA would now be my life- which freaked me right out

there must be a happy middle, right?

does AA have to be my life now?

man oh man im confused

send help lol

sober hugs
maria

Hi Maria,

Yeah, it is a bit of a roller-coaster, but things will settle down for you once you get more comfortable with sobriety. Real life and real emotions can be hard to deal with at times, but always worth it.

I am not an AA person, but I do give my recovery priority and I work on it every day. I have to and I am happy to.

Please read this

I also suggest you go to AA and listen
:)

Congrats maria, 32 days is wonderful!

I'm an AA person, so I'd say get to a meeting and listen too. White-knuckling my sobriety didn't work very well for me, I hope you choose a softer path.

AA is a life for me, I wouldn't trade one day in the program for my best day drinking.

And when I say "softer path", I mean that I hope you'll find something that works for you!

I'm not an AA guy, but from what I gather you can go as 'hard' or as 'soft' as you like...you'll get advice naturally, but ultimately you'll run your own programme, you know ?

congrats anyway
