Getting back on the wagon.

Hello. I’m new here but not knew to sobriety - just trying to back on the wagon. I quit when I was 30 and it lasted for 5 years. Those years were great. Being sober afforded me the clarity to excel in my career and get my body in shape. A stressful promotion and an unplanned pregnancy was the tipping point and started me on a 4 year downward path that lead me here.

I’m going to try this again. Thanks for having me.

Thanks Anna. I don't feel alone given the responses so far. Fortunately the last time I went down this road it wasn't that hard. So far I just feel a bit of cramping in the gut but, if history repeats itself, that should be as bad as it gets minus some vivid dreams (but I always liked those anyway). So bonus already! I'll dream like crazy tonight! :-D

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. Intenstinal pain is considerably worse than 9 some odd years ago. Some of that is probably age but crap this is hurting. I realized I didn't mention my demon. It's alcohol. I don't think my guts know what to do right now without it. Emotionally I am fine. No anxiety in general accept when the pain comes. I had some mushroom soup but it may have well been glass the way its cutting thu me. Yikes.
