have you ever been so scared of how much you've drank over the years
Totally.
I was a nightly drinker for around 13 years. And that combined with the amount of Norcos I took off and on for 5 years or so really makes me think I will start to suffer from some liver disease down the road. I'm way scared to get my liver checked out!

Fear kills far more of us then bravery!!!!
Was I scared to see the doc? You damn right I was, my liver had been enlarged and tender for over 20 years!!!!
I did not want to die a slow alcoholic death, I knew I had to get sober and stay sober but I could not stop drinking.... I physically had to drink.
Rather then die I went to the doctor, told him how long and how much I drank.
Into detox I went and the AA,
My liver is fine now, I had a fatty liver, a precursor to cirrosis of the liver.
Every one is different there are folks who drank for far fewer years I did and far less that haved dies from cirrosis of the liver, there are folks who drank a lot more then me and longer and are just fine today.
One thing is gaurauteed, if you keep on drinking alcoholically you are going to die sooner then if you quit drinking right now!
