it was just saying i went to my AA meeting last night at 8pm got there at 7.55pm waited till 10 past eight no sign of life it was a horrible wet cold night and weather it was cancelled because of that Im not sure or being a small town or theres not many alkies ? . The next meeting is at another town and Im nervous about going out of the area as Im a nervous driver at the best of times but night time Im worse :0(
Hi Angie,
I'm sorry that didn't work out.
Maybe you can call the main AA office in your area and double-check the information that you have. I don't like driving at night either, especially if the weather is bad.

I'm sorry about that.
I'm not really sure why stuff like that happens.
Out dated schedules or god knows what.
It wasn't like that when i first started, but i volunteer to move funiture (meetings)
So, I can only image what some people went through going to the old place
and the doors was closed. Until new schedule got updated.
I live in a small community, so most of the folks has to travel to my
town to attend meetings. And meeting places do change from time to time.
On the other hand I had to drive out of town to attend NA, there was only
2 NA meetings per week in my area when I first got clean and sober.
So bascially i attend both fellowships becuase i needed a meeting everyday.
But sometimes the meeting's chair person just totally drops the ball
or they run late, late or had an expected emergency.
Then again that last time i lost touch with recovery. i was tatally
lost and confused. i had the dates, time, building # all mixed up.
A bit fustrating, becuase i really, really needed to go.
Already, i had to practice patient before i even walk in the doors.lol
But i keep reaching out no matter what.
