Go to meetings people - this is what works for me !
I wouldn't have believed you, if you told me 12 months ago that I would enjoy going to AA.
I tried it on my own - didn't last long - BUSTED ! Then I booked myself into Re-Hab (best move of my life).
Rehab was a good starting point - But AA is what has kept me sober, I believe.
So, for me - It's AA, Go to meetings, Do the Steps, Get a Sponsor, Do some service (I am secretary of my home group now)
All those things that I heard when I first came into the rooms - It's all true. I didn't think it was at the time.
Yes, it's a simple program - And guess what - It works if you follow the suggested things. Well it worked for me anyway - so far - one day at a time.
So if you are new to sobriety and have some fear around getting to AA - I'd say go for it - what have you got to lose ?
