Wink Sunday Recovery

Woke up at 8:30 am
talked to my HP and do most of the day
huddled under the covers and watched the sun come up over the Valley
9am got up and the dogs padded into my bedroom like elephants
made my bed and with a laugh in my voice told them not to jump on the bed
So they both jumped up and we had a fight for 5 minutes
Got some coffee and read the Just for Today
Read the new threads here and posted a bit
Gav Tobi and Rana some treats which vanished

Going to get dressed and: (most of this with the help of Tobi and Rana.)

Put some washing on (Rana likes to help with the washing. She pulls it off the line and looks at me while she is doing it!)
start up the whipper snipper and cut the long grass and weeds (Tobi walks behind me and barks at the whipper snipper)
phone a couple of friends
sweep and wash the floor (Tobi and Rana run around and hide as water often means bath time)
get lunch and do any of the above that is not finished
Chill out and read a book
may hit a meeting tonight but I often don't on Sunday
may watch a dvd tonight
talk to my HP and get back into bed

Sounds like a good day to me, glad to be doing it.

Thanks cmc and Anna.

Its such a long way from my early days here and shortly before that when my day was much different and often started off waking up in my own filth and with a hangover that was so bad I could hardly stand. Or from those days when I woke up in hospital wondering wtf I was doing there or waking up in a cell. I ended up alone and destitiute a member of the walking dead.

Yes today is wonderful and I am so grateful and ever mindful.

Kevin

Kevin,

It sounds as though your day will be filled with the "good stuff" of life. Good on you for turning your life around.

Peace to you,
Cekiya

Thanks, Kev.
I got some yard work to do, but it's supposed to rain tomorrow (Sunday).

Glad you're doing well. Those little things most folks take for granted are starting to mean a lot more now.

Brightest blessings to you.

very cool post. sounds like a good solid day to me. today i woke up and went for a walk to get coffee. came home and surfed the net. went to the gym to work out and take a steam (yeah rough life i know lol). came home and did laundry and cleaned a little. than started watching a movie on my computer. might head over to my families house in an hour or two to watch the cubs game. ahh the carefree life of sobriety! even typing this just really put things into perspective.
