Hi Karen. I was the same way with meetings. SR helped me find my way back. I was in AA back in 1993 and had almost 2 years. After that when I went back out, it was all these years that I drank. I didn't want to go anywhere, do anything.

So now I'm back in AA and I'm glad. I need people in my life after all I found out. Now i look forward to seeing my old friends (still there) and making new ones in AA.

Just checking in, Karen. Taking a break from steamvaccing rugs and the sofas all six of us sit on 24/7, 365 days a year. We don't have airconditioning, and with the two dogs and four sweaty, active kids... Well, you can guess!

You're not the only one on day 1 again, I must confess.

Came back from my son's show last night and had trouble winding down, saw my husband's drink and chose to have one, which turned into two.

Anyway -- you take care of yourself. Perhaps you and I can count our days together? Let me know.

Sorry you are feeling down. This awful illness though is a monster and its nothing to be ashamed off if it snuck up and caught you off guard. You're still posting and trying though which is what will carry you through in the end.
