Smile Went To Detox

I got so bad with my drinking and taking xanax I had to go to a hospital for detox. July 27, 2007 is my sobriety date so I am on my 9th day of being sober and now I am going to the same place for outpatient treatment, everyone says I look a lot better and I can talk better, I am very proud of myself.

Hi Need

You should be proud of yourself. Keep it up! The work is hard, but we all know it is so worth it.

Keep on with the OP, and find a good recvoery program when OP is done.

After my 2nd medical de-tox, I didn't. I was drinking again within 8 weeks,

This is day 10 being sober and I plan on going to church and my son, wife and baby are coming home today, so if they get home early enough I want to go see the baby and possibly go to an AA meeting.

I'll share with you what another alcoholic shared with me on the phone. He said, "You want to feel better tonight Dom? ... Take a suggestion." That night I got a homegroup and when they announced me as a new member, I felt a LOT better.
