no ... not at all
I went to my first meeting today and then I went to see a movie ... the background noise the people... I had panic attacks and sadly I slipped a lil :(

Keep trying

Hi Jen

Good that you can be so honest. Honesty with yourself is a huge step and then you were honest with others here too, yet another big step.

Have you been going "cold turkey"???? I'm not sure that that approach works for everyone. Check in with your doctor for some advice.

Finding the right way to quit

Hi Jen
How are ya??? The one thing i've realised over the past 7 years is that each one of us needs to find the best way to quit the substance/s we use. Everyone is different. I've tried "cold turkey", reducing dose method, alternative medications etc and I know that the only way for me is cold turkey. And so far, i've been lucky in that my withdrawal symptoms were bad but not serious. I know you will find the way that works for you.

And please don't say that you slipped up when you had some medication earlier. You are still firmly on the path to quitting permanently. You are just learning all about you and what your body and mind needs. You are going in the right direction.
Please keep going and know you can do this.
Keep posting......

Hi Jen

Yep, i'm feeling good today. I'm really distracted by our impending move back to the UK. I think that's helping and now i've finally got a bit of energy back, I can do so much more.
How are you feeling today?? Watching Grease 2???!!! What a crappy sequel that was. I'm amazed it was ever released.....Hope it's not your fave film!!!! OOOOPPSSS!!!

Doing ok!!!

Hi Jen
I'm doing ok today. Just busy getting ready for moving again. It really helps to keep me distracted. We fly back to the UK next Wednesday. I'm excited about going back home but not about the marathon flight.....This will be my first flight without using tablets in years. Pretty scared to be honest....

Really glad to hear you are ok too. Keep posting when you have time. How are the meetings going??
