Almost had 90 days, went out but now I am back.
Hi everyone,
I almost had 90 days from everything! But unfortunately I took a new job, working 12 hours a day, I made excuses that I Was too tired to go to meetings, I made excuses to stop excercising, I then became very depressed, gave up, started drinking and using again. Yes it was fun for a few days, but then it lead me right back to where I started, hell. I am now almost 48 hours sober! I have called my sponsor and am hoping to go to my first meeting in a while at 6:30 am tomorrow before work. While I do not really want to go to meetings, I know that I need to if I want to stay clean and sober. Anyways I just wanted to check back in. Thanks for listening.

12 hour days? It's not an excuse, you really were worn out, i mean i just worked one today, look i don't know much about meetings and such but i know the numbness and depression from working too many hours, The burnout from that. Its taken me years to get my work hours to just the right number of hours where i'm capable of even thinking of that i might be able to live sober.
good luck today.

Thanks so much for the message.
I work in the film production world, so the days are very long when we are on a production. Then they become very short when looking for work oh well, that is the nature of the beast. Well I am just trying to keep my spirits up and get through the night until the 6:30 am meeting tommorow! Thanks again for your message, it is great to talk to other people going through this!

SS,
Welcome back. I gave up a job working 12 hour days for better hours and less pay. I get to lots of meetings now, and have much less job stress and burnout.
Not sure if that's a consideration for you, I just wanted to share.
I hope that you keep posting.

Thanks so much for the support!
I went to my first meeting in about 7 months today! Woke up at 5:30am which I cannot believe! The meeting went well and now I am at work, so far so good. Hopefully if we get out early enough I will try and go to a 10PM meeting as well.
Taking it one microsecond at a time
thanks again for all the support!

Some things came up at work, the first thing I can think of is bad habits to get me out of my feeling. I am drinking water and trying to stay centered, I am trying to get out of my head since it is just trying to convince me to do things that would not be good.
