day one

I 've got my first day sober. Of course no sleep. I don't have the shakes or any other symptoms so far. I hope day two goes as well.

Hi Rome, good luck and be careful. You know detoxing alone can be dangerous right? You might be advised to talk about it with your doctor.

I'm only in my mid twenties and have family around if i feel i need to go to the hospital. I think i'll be alright. Thaks for all the support.

Drink lots of water and juices (cranberry is exceptionally good), suck on hard candies (alcoholic beverages contain a lot of sugar which the body is now craving), B12 vitamins are helpful. Stay busy, but keep that option for the hospital open, just in case. Good Luck.
