My name is Jim and I am a recovering alcoholic. I have a little over two years of sobriety. A little about myself, I started drinking when I was 15 years old , the same time I got diagnosed with epilepsy. I drank for 15 years and have had a lot of consequences due to my drinking. They include dwi's, fights, jail, getting kicked out of apartments, pissing and shitting my pants, losing everything that is dear to me and losing myself in the process. This time around I hit a bottom like no other. I am on this site to look for friends and support in this recovery process. I am from near the albany, ny area. Since i have stayed sober for awhile my life is WONDERFUL. I have everything back , then some. I have full sole custody of my daughter and I don'pt want to drink today. That is the miracle of recovery. Any replies is good. Thanks.

Jim...you rock! Thanks for shaing, man. I'm a new guy around here but I have 11 years sober. I am also a new yorker - a little further upstate in the Utica area. I am also a father so I know how wonderful that is as well. I have twins - boy and a girl, 2 and a half years old. Life is good and it keeps getting better. Hey...may be an "off" question...but do you ride? (motorcycle)
