Just a thanks to everyone
Just a thanks to everyone
I honestly don't recall how I found this forum. And I honestly don't care.
I am so thankful to everyone here.
There's been nothing but genuine caring, concern, and understanding here.
This is my 'meeting before the meeting', and my 'meeting after the meeting'.
I'm sure I've never met any of you personally, but I certainly wish I do some day.
I've never heard of The Mulligan Group, but I wish to thank them also in their financial support of this forum. And I thank the volunteers who run the day-to-day operations.
You helped me decide it was time to quit drinking. You helped me when I slipped up a few days ago. And you help me now.
And I very much enjoy helping others here.
I've learned that sobriety is a very, very fragile thing. I cherish every day I don't drink.
I can ask questions here and get honest answers. I can express an opinion and not get a strange look.
And I can laugh (LOL, really!) at some of the posts, particularly the Newbie Bus and Cuddle-Thon threads. I just love them.
I just thought I should I say this.
I love you all and I wish EVERYONE the best.
It is WAAAAAAAAAAAY past my beddy-bye time. Drank WAAAAAAAAAY too much coffee at my meeting tonight. But it was a good meeting. My old home group's 13th anniversary. Good food, good speaker, and best of all, good fellowship.
If anyone has seen 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind', the 'We Are Not Alone' tag line has taken on a new meaning for me lately.
Anyhow- I'm off to bed. And I can sleep with a clean conscience.
Love and brightest blessings to everyone still struggling. Remember, there is hope.
Without hope, there is nothing.
