Kinda New...
Hi All. Just wanted to finally introduce myself after being a professional lurker for a few months. I have 95 days sober and doing quite well. I started my trek to sobriety through my HMO chemical dependency department. I initially started with their groups on a daily basis and seeing a counselor every 2 weeks. I'm currently on Prozac for mild depression, social anxiety, and avoidant personality. Currently, I'm not attending the HMO groups and/or any kind of outside group - I am still seeing my counselor and taking the prozac. I've done extensive research on my alcoholism and anxiety - for the time being i'm formulating my own thoughts, feelings, and program on recovery. This website has been instrumental in my sobriety. I want to thank all of you who post here as some days I need to "hear" the words. I have alot more background and stuff and hopefully I will share as time moves on. I just wanted to get this first post out of the way hoping it will propel me to join in the fun. Suffice to say that I haven't felt this good in 20 years (this is the longest time I've been sober in 20 years). Thank god for Prozac and thank god for the will to finally set the glass down.
