Welcome and I hope you find what I see here all the time.

The person who has been here for years and the person who has been here for only a few days... both add and bring so much to this site. Many times I find that the new person brings more because it is fresh in their thoughts.
If this place ever became a clickish, I think it would fall apart.
All are welcome and all bring so much and that is what makes this place so nice.

I too hope you find what you're looking for here. It's a good site with non-judgemental people who hear you and will understand.

peace, welcome to the land of hope...

listen to chiynita and all the others...

chiy
Theres nothing I wont post on here. I feel that comfortable.
And sometimes I dont like some of the responses I get. But they are all honest from different point of view. Thats what I love about it.
and that girl can post... why all the responces to hers... we love her, and would like to see her succeed in recovery, and a better life...

hop on in peace, spill some beans, and join the family...

we get what we give...

all good wishes...

xxoo, rz

it is my experience that this board is not clicky...i have been to meetings that are (some might consider my homegroup one) but this is a message board on the internet....i would hope it wouldnt clicky! at any rate, stick around and use this board to your advantage. its a nice place to communicate with other sober people. but nothing beats a meeting!!

I thought it was clicky when I was on under another name over a year ago...

I was very steeped in my addictions and extremely sensitive at the time.

This time..I jumped right in on new threads, old threads. started threads...

Just share and open yourself up...ask questions..you will get replies and make friends.

And, there is always someone you can relate to and give THEM a word of

encouragement.

Love,

IO

When I first started posting before, I thought so to - but I was drinking and an emotional wreck toward the end.
I agreee with IO - just "jump in" I don't think I've ever posted and not gotten feedback, even when I freaked out on everyone and posted while drunk - they were right there asking whats wrong?
I hope you stay here!

I used to think I was hyper-sensitive...now, I'm only super-sensitive...so, I know I'm getting better!

Hope you find the peace you're longing for...if this is a clique (click), it's a very large one.

Yep..Jersey Nonny..

Still sensitive...a great friend on here said (one thing) in a PM and I freaked..

Sad...the old ego pops up when least expected. But it is neat that we here in SR

can talk it out..

The strength of these forums...

Love,

:

He He. I've heard this before. Before recovery, we care about what other people think of us. During recovery, we realize it's none of our business what others think about us. After a lot of recovery, the epiphany comes that they weren't even thinking about us at all...

Welcome to SR longing4peace. Glad you found us.
being able to come here and talk with the other people having similiar problems is great. And yes you can be honest, btu you only have to share wht you feel comfotable with. Its not like therapists who seem top be trying to pull info out of you thinking they can fix you.
SR is a place where people share, support, laugh , cry and just try to help each other along through our daily struggles.
I feel like I am part of this huge cyberfamily. I might not be able to find someone in my life that i can talk to. Either its something i dont want them to know or they just dont have time.
Youll see you will make mucho unconditional friends.
