Denise Passes This Message To ALL!
Vic I can't post on SR or SV anymore.....no surprise how I panic at times.....so please let everyone know how grateful I am for them, and an extra thank you also. I'll leave a message and hope you can add it to the thread you started for me.
-----------------------------------------------------
Well I can't post anymore because I paniced about something that happened to me on a message board, someone had the need to make me feel really awful, (understatement) I thought I was dealing with it ok, but apparently not, so I can't be around any longer.
I'm glad I have someone to pass my message on, thank you Vic.
I can't thank SR enough for what it's taught me, what I needed to learn as painful as it was, but it was worth it. (((SR)))
I went to bed last night crying my eyes out thinking about last year at this time ,it would be my last drunk and hangover, never dreaming I could finally be free of this ugly BEAST, I only hope anyone struggling reading this will know it will be their turn too, NEVER GIVE UP no matter what, keep trying everything till you find what works for you.
I'm very humbled today, I don't have any woohoo's in me about this. I have a lot of gratitude and never want to go back to that hellish living again.
I'm leaving a poem here that's a huge part of my heart, so may have walked on the Don't Quit thread, I had no idea where that thread would lead the day I started it there, I had no idea at all, I'm so very grateful for all the people who've walked on it and will continue to. I have a very heavy heart today because of a lot of things, but my heart has also been lightened by what I've learned from all of YOU.
I wonder what the persons life was like who wrote the poem, and if they know how many lives it's touched. One more thing to be grateful for, I had gotten PM from a person at SR one day telling me it was their Grandmother who wrote the poem, goes to show just how small our world is.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don't Quit
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is odd with its twists and turns,
As everyone sometimes learns.
And many a person turns about
When an individual might have won
had he or she stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow
You may succeed with yet another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than it seems
To a faint and faltering woman or man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he or she might have captured the victor's cup;
And one learned too late when the night came down,
How close he or she was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And when you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worst, you mustn't quit
I found a presentation with the Don't Quit poem.
All the best to everyone with the journey we're all on, I only hope it's a lot of happy times for you all.
All my love, continued prayers.
Tight cyber hugs......Denise
