I use it, cuz I want to say thanks to someone for what they wrote. I usually submit a reply too, but sometimes I just want to say thanks . . .what you wrote struck a chord with me.
With limited time on the PC and having over 20,000 members on SR. I find it a wonderful tool. It allows me to give a deserved acknowledgement or thank you when I find time limited.
Yes it would be nicer to have the time to answer each person with words from my heart but time isn't always something I have. I try to use the button sparingly so that it doesn't lose it's meaning but I do use it and do like it very much.

lol
I decided it was a silly thread and wanted it removed as of course everyone has a different perspective which is just as it should be.
So 'Thanks' and out on this subject

too bad I missed the original content.
I admit sometimes I use the thanks button to combat short term memory...otherwise known as a bookmark, especially on long threads.
But, in any case, thanks for anyone taking their time to post.

Once upon a time, there was an "un-thank you" button.
Trivial thread? Where!?
