Wow..What a great experience.

Yall know I have been trying a different program.
They have evoice meetings.
Where you can talk to each other and hear each other instead of typing.
MAn that was a great meeting. It is so much easier and alot more personable.
It was the best.
I feel so good right now.
I am not a people person really. So big groups F2F and especially talking about my issues in front of a bunch of strangers is hard. I have no problems be ing social. But talking about my problems is a whole nother level.
This was perfect!!!
And I start seeing a substance abuse counselor Tues. One on One.
Things are really looking good yall.
I mean for real.
I just feel it in my whole being.
But the true test will be when I get back working next month.
But I am cinfident I will be well prepared before hand.
I didnt have a plan and wasnt working a program or even trying to last time before I relapsed.
What a good feeling I have right now.
The court thing is peanuts compared to how I am progressing in my recovery.
I just want to scream..WOO HOOO!!!!

That is wonderful, I am so happy for you. Recovery really is a personal thing, there is no "one" program that works for everyone. I hope you continue to thrive in your new group. I do want to state for the record though...just because you have a new playgroup, doesn't mean you released from SR!!!!!

Wonderful. So glad you found something that works for you.
Don't give up on maybe trying a F2F in the future. It can be an added strength you can use if needed.

No matter what you use for a program..what you put into it is what you get out.
I feel you will do great. You have a lot of commitment in you.

Way To Go.

One thing that is so so wonderful about RECOVERY is that there isn't a set of rules for anyone person. Although we all share our ESH that doesn't mean that what worked for us will work for others. I truly believe that we all have to find our paths to reach the top. One guy at a meeting the other day said something about making coffee (he didn't know how) and I said that is OK I will make the coffee. He then said, "That is Vic, always doing service work!" What a compliment.

I truly believe that service work is one of the things that keeps us clean. Doing for others without having to be recognized. Not doing things out of spite but doing things to be helpful for others. Just like chairing meetings, it helps me to do for others.....making coffee.....sweeping the floors....:

I know that I have many avenues in my recovery today.....I have to keep my recovery pie full especially when I loose a piece of it, I then have to replace it with something that is positive for my recovery. I have made a new home page and that in itself helps me....

Life is a journey not a destination...let's enjoy....

Glad that you are finding YOUR PATH!

chiy,i am happy for your woohoo moment..i know how that feels..hope to have one soon...lol..stay strong...the more support you get, the best...i believe hearing other people's life experiences is a great way to avoid doing the same mistakes they did and vice-versa, it's a way to learn about life faster....
