Hi Penguin . You're not alone...

Busy day today. Got up early and went for my walk. Woke the kids up early 9am! They think this is an ungodly hour to wake up during the summer lol. We went to Six Flags for about 3 hours... came home ate pb & js and then went to the pool for a few hours. Now they're all chilling out and eating dinner while I check in with you all. I think we'll be going to see some fire works tonight. It's only 5 minutes away but we can't see from our house so we'll have to find a place to park. Town picnic at the school tomorrow. FREE FOOD!!!! Plus hubby is playing guitar w/ one of my daughters friends there too.

What's everyone else doing ?

Hello all

I don't know if any of you remember me at all. I guess it doesn't really matter. I know it's a cliche, but I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I guess you've heard it all before, but I need to quit drinking. I need to show myself that I'm a mature adult who is capable of doing what is right and healthy.

Anyway, I hope you are all doing well and living the live you hope for.

Michael...I have wondered practically every day about you...and, Max, too.

How could I possibly forget you and your thoughtfulness...I still relate to folks how thrilled I was to receive those flowers from you when I was in the first nursing home last year.

Please keep posting...and, don't "disappear" again.

Mr Scott,

Glad to hear your hanging in there. Your posts from your parents were so inspiring.
Try to focus on those things. The people that care about you. I think about you often. We shared some deep thoughts and we are kindof old timers here aren't we?
Best to you all.
Max

P.S. Rae. Your son Max loves you...

Right back atcha, Surrogate Son! I've missed having you young uns posting here. This "old timer" needs to know you are still "fighting the good fight"...after all, when those of us who are "over the hill" have really gone over the hill, who's going to be here to continue to carry the message!?!

BTW...my Actual Son, John, has five months clean and sober...has moved from a VA hospital in Bath, N.Y. to the New Jersey Veteran's Administration Medical Center at Lyons, New Jersey. It's been a long, hard 20 years or so for him battling the drugs...I often wished he had just been a garden variety alcoholic like his Mom and Dad, because his drugs of choice really kicked his butt! But, miracles do happen, Thank God.
