Obituary - Someone Else

Obituary - Someone Else
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Our church was saddened to learn this week of the death of one of our most valued members, Someone Else. Someone's passing creates a vacancy that will be difficult to fill. Else has been with us for many years and for every one of those years, Someone did far more than a normal person's share of the work.

Whenever there was a job to do, a class to teach, or a meeting to attend, one name was on everyone's list, "Let Someone Else do it." Whenever leadership was mentioned, this wonderful person was looked to for inspiration as well as results; "Someone Else can work with that group." It was common knowledge that Someone Else was among the most liberal givers in our church. Whenever there was a financial need, everyone just assumed Someone Else would make up the difference.

Someone Else was a wonderful person; sometimes appearing superhuman. Were the truth known, everybody expected too much of Someone Else. Now Someone Else is gone! We wonder what we are going to do. Someone Else left a wonderful example to follow, but who is going to follow it? Who is going to do the things Someone Else did?

When you are asked to help this year, remember - we can't depend on Someone Else anymore.

Thanks Vic!

This is a reminder that we all need to do our part in recovery and in the world around us, every day.

Yep I agree so many times I will walk in to a meeting and say under my breath, "Can't someone else make the coffee here or take out the trash?" Then I have to remember that I am not doing it but to help me and also to allow someone else the freedom of not having to do it.

I still to this day am considered the coffee pourer LOL I find it of being useful to others. Have to remember that

Chance...

OUCHIE!!!

Might have to move as the rent is still not here..a repossessed auto..might lose

the Internet...so I have slept and slept..in between trying to fix things...

and feeling very impotent.

This post reminded me that in order to continue my own recovery I must bloom

where I am planted wherever HP desires. "Not my will"...

If I have no car..I'll get exercise by walking...

If I have to move back in with Mother..I will be a blessing and comfort to her...

If I lose my internet..I will find other ways to bless the Program in F2F meetings..

I can pray for others wherever I am at the moment.

I can bless and do SOMETHING in any place God puts me.

Thanks for this post.

I can truly say after this moment...

"It is well with my soul"..and look forward to another adventure in faith!

Love,

:
