I picked my name because I have Red hair.......and boy-oh-boy can I be Surly!!!! (No, really, I can, I know you would never believe that anyone in recovery could be surly, but I am the Queen of Surliness.....really, no joke!! )

I choose my name because that's how I feel, I'm still searching for the child that was left behind/frozen in time....I need to save, love, care for the lost child so that together we can reach a place where we both have inner peace, that's why I choose the name Lost_child, cause inside the child is lost and reaching out...pathetic really..

We certainly can have fun in recovery and
dont ever let anyone tell you otherwise....

In fact once we've gotten off the roller
coaster ride of the first few months clean
and sober....we begin to laugh and have fun.

Our family members and friends look at
us with amazement to the transformation...

The changes and miracles of what our recovery
program has done for us....

Go ahead have urself a ball...YOU deserve it....

We certainly were dieing when drunk and doped
up....and now that we have that POISON out
of our system...we can feel free....happy....joyous...

The promises offer us so much hope as long as
we follow the principles of our recovery program
set before us....

Pat urself on the back for a job well done at 1 day
sober, 2 days, 1 week, 30 days....however long....

Hi,
I'm 2ala2 which is the Arabic word for anxiety, worry, and insomnia, lol. The (2) stands for an abrupt stop of the sound of the letter A which we use when writing Arabic in the English alphabet. I have severe social anxiety but people who know me have no idea, at least that's what I think, or would like to think!
I have lived in several countries and now am living in beautiful Egypt. I am originally a Syrian Kurd and my real name is Omar........

Whats so neat is knowing that there are thousands
like us in recovery living ALL OVER the world....

Just like 2ala2... in Egypt ..to NY to way down here
in south Louisiana,,,,,,Can u imagine...we are all connected
by a common bond of recovery.....

All races, sizes, places and yet we come together for a
common purpose....to stay clean and sober one day at
a time helping and supporting each other.

UNBELIEVABLE...

hari seldon - fictional character who founded a science called pyscho history which basically used current events to predict the future kindof like how i feel that if i dont quit drinking then the future looked bleak whereas a life of sobriety holds many rewards
