Lunch? I never had lunch. I would get to midnight and realise I hadn't eaten since the night before.

Today? I spend ages thinking about food. I keep it stashed. Little treats. I am deeply into pebbles and smarties at the moment. I get a little pot of fruit from my favourite fruit shop before my lunch meeting. I am thinking it might be nice to get some new little traditions going.

Smarties are nice, what are pebbles though?

I was thinking, my last bender lasted about a month and in the last 2 weeks of that I literally ate nothing at all-not good.

My new addiction: Pop Tarts and Slurpees

BB pgs 133-134:
"One of the many doctors who had the opportunity of reading this book in manuscript form told us that the use of sweets was often helpful, of course depending upon a doctor's advice. He thought all alcoholics should constantly have chocolate available for its quick energy value at times of fatigue. He added that occasionally in the night a vague craving arose which would be satisfied by candy. Many of us have noticed a tendency to eat sweets and have found this practice beneficial."

I knew I would like AA.

Ok, I gotta quit reading threads like this before I go to work. Now I am gonna have to pick up some food this morning on my way or im gonna be hurting today. Geez, the tinges of hunger starting already. Heh, great thread. I can attest to the lack of eating while drinking, would only have 1 meal a day during those times, and probably wouldnt have that meal if I didnt make sure to eat with my kids.

I am craving a cheese steak from Miami Subs.
But no Miami Subs in NY.
Come to think of it. There really isnt anything good up here like down south.
Waffle house..biscuitville..churchs chicken....cook out...checkers...Ci Cis pizza...Papa Johns Even.
Ny needs to get it together with the food.

food is my friend...

Hi all...and,yes, I've," rediscovered" food too...and put on a few pounds too,but it's ok..I'm not putting any pressure on myself at this point. My therapist told me,"let dessert be your reward for getting through dinner without a drink"...I work in a bakery, and thank god I only give myself permission to have dessert AFTER dinner...haha..
All kidding aside,I really should start eating healthier foods...but a reuben sure does sound yummy right now..KT

UGH - your killing me.

Closing in on two weeks and I think I am turning into
a human garbage disposal. Rye bread, sauerkraut, swiss cheese
corned beef ....mmmm. Where are those neighborhood deli's when
you need them?

Breakfast time right now --- dreaming of lox and bagels - REAL bagels
not the "round bread things" found west of the Mississippi : )

Sigh, alas here I sit in the land of refried beans ....

Off to raid the pantry
