Hi Lost Child,

I want you to know that I'm thinking about you.

I'm hoping that you're being taken care of in the hospital and that you'll let us know how you're doing, as soon as you can.

Thank you

Thank you for all ur kind words, and thoughts. I have been let out of hospital this morning. Appears its something called hylocobactria prirya (medical terms never been able to spell them). Basically from they told me its triggered by smoking too much, taking too many painkillers and stress...and normally happens to people in their 50's + (oh great I'm 27 and my body is aged before its time).
I have agreed (if I can mentally do it) to see someone about my drink and drug "habits"...I've damaged my health. I've messed up big time and now its pay back time for my ways.
my house is mess, the place hasn't been cleaned since saturday now its filthy and dirty so I have to go and clean, germs and dirt everywhere. I can't believe how dirty hospitals are, I think that's why I don't like them cause their dirty and germs everywhere. yucky.

I hope ur all well.

Lost x

I just now got back from a weekend trip, and read this - I'm so glad to hear that you went to the hospital, and that you've got some answers.

Keep on taking care of yourself - that, IMO, is the best first step you can take.

good to see you back LC....I wish you could come help me clean my place !

don't worry overmuch about the damage - the human body can rejuvenate itself pretty well, just so long as you remember that you need to be kinder to yourself from here on in...

I'm seeing a physicatrist, counsellor, cpn and tomorrow I'm meant to be going to speak to a drink/drug counsellor u have to have an assessment first, they only see 3 people between 13:00 and 16:00 and are only open for assessments tuesday, wednesday and friday.

I would gladly clean, there's something about seeing and smelling a nice fresh house. I've cleaned and cleaned my flat this morning and still it doesn't feel clean.

Remember why you are feeling like that. You will not be alone forever. We are here and we exist. Remember it is important to ring someone if you need to be with another person. Just stop the stupid cleaning now. All those chemicals are not good for the planet!!! hehe

You have us LC. I know the loneliness. Have you managed to not drink today? That's enough - cleaning can wait. I hope you can find some peace of mind soon LC. Keep posting ok?

LC...

I am going to say something a little different here...

When I first got sober I did the same thing...cleaned and cleaned and cleaned house.

It was an outward activity that slowly slowly "caught on" on the inside work of the soul

I finally got around to doing. I didn't focus on drinking or self hatred while cleaning.

I heard a story in AA that is a true story...

A great older man who had sponsored many men successfully was asked by a

newcomer with 1 day to be his sponsor.

The older man agreed and told the new guy to come over that day and wash his

car. The new guy did and asked what to do the next day.

The sponsor told the sponsee to mow both his front and back yards!

he did..and began to think his sponsor was a tad "off".

The next day the young man was told to go home and thoroughly clean his

own apartment...of course he went to a meeting each evening...

After the three days the new guy was worn out...he called his sponsor and asked

"What the hell is going on..I didn't think AA was to turn me into a janitor!"

His sponsor laughed and asked.."Have you thought about a drink these three days?"

The new guy suddenly realized he had not..and his mind was clear..his body stronger.

He maintained his sobriety.

Love,

IO

I had 2 drinks yesterday but stopped when i started to feel sick. I've been in bed most of today, I just can't seem to get any energy, just layin in bed listening to the silence of the world.

IO, That's such a great story thank you for sharing.
