I really envy those who were able to finally stop drinking...
Hi everyone
The subject line says it all and once again I find myself awakening way too early and spending the wee hours of the morning sitting in front of the computer with a stupid hangover, dizzy, spaced out, stomach in knots, diarrhea...etc.
I know if I go a day or two without drinking that my mornings are very happy and I wake up feeling good, motivated and eager to start the day. It usually takes 4-5 days for me to "dry out" and feel completely normal again and a few weeks of sobriety before alcohol becomes just a distant memory.
Oh how I wish I could reach that lofty point so I could feel good again )-:
Just sharing my thoughts at the moment. I think I'm going to go back on the Naltrexone again because even in small amounts, it seems to work very well but in larger doses it causes some side effects. I'm ready to try almost anything at this point.

You can have it too, really and yes aren't those sober mornings just great. I am so happy I finally kicked it and have got my life back, I wish you joy and courage on your path towards sobriety.

"rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path"...i like those odds ALOT. sponor, steps, meetings....do you just envy sobriety or are you willing to go to any length to get it? if not pray for the willingness, my friend.
