Sending loads of prays and thoughts you way...please hold on, tomorrow is a new bright day. something i wrote a long time ago when I was feeling quite strong and will have a look for and post for you.

In early sobriety I was given a copy of Footprints In The Sand, it has helped this alkie for almost 26 year now, maybe it can help you to:"
"FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND"
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."
And I have to agree with Carol, it sounds like, with more "stuff" coming to the surface that it may be time for another 4th and 5th step.
I know over the years of my recovery I have had to do 5 so far. When HP thinks i am ready more 'stuff' appears for me to work through,lol i am still missing about halfof 1972 and almost all of 1973. Guess hp figures i can't handle it yet, or it may be gone forever.
Sernity prayer also works for me, helps me to stop beating up on me.

thanks for the messages and the prayers. Still here, still struggling, difference today is I am working my program. Will do another 4th and 5th when I have finsihed the step work I am doing as I believe that where all my struggling is coming from so I want to move through it.

Kevin - when I was all alone earlier this year in a far away place with no friends you made time for me. I thought you were an angel. I still think you are.
No matter what - remember? Even if it comes down to 5 mintues at a time. You taught me that and I am remembering that every day at the moment.
When you are walking through hell - don't stop. We are in there with you and I am on your side.
