I cant quit without medical help, I have done it before plenty of times but this is full-on scary now. I Am waiting to hear from my clinic, if they cant help I am walking into AE (ER). Tonight-so...I may be gone for a while. Who knows, a week?
I thought those guys in rehab looked at me funny lol! They knew I was crashing.
I was 'all talk'.

I phoned my clinic and was told no, they also told me AE would not accept me cos I aint a crisis!
Well I have to get more critical then, I can do that-I can die. Maybe then I would some help huh?

stone, have you tried AA yet? I don't mean trying just one meeting, I mean parking your butt in a chair for a minimum of 90 meetings in 90 days, and asking and reaching out for help.

Go to your emergency room and tell them you are suicidal. Tell them you have a plan. Say whatever you have to say to get in.

That worked for me. I ended up spending three days is a psych ward, had several evaluations, and whaddya know they told me I was an alcoholic! Lol

No they don't, stone. But if you talk to other AA members they'll share how they did it. If you're not able to get into a detox center could it hurt to spend some time in AA? What have you got to lose?

sometime you just have to drive to the damn detox center
and talk to the damn guy in charge instead of freaken filter,
or make a damn recket...that's why i hate rehabs becuase I didn't
have a record or a criminal or they too bussy checking
your insurance

I had to kick the damn door down when my gf was bleeding to
death and the bicth wanted us fill out paper work and the nurse
stuck her head out of the door every so often..saying they're too busy.
she could had sit at home and wait...i didn't take her to the ER
without reasons.
I didn't give a rat's ass if i got arrested or not..it was an emergency
to me. yeah I hope they kept that sheit of film too..but probably not.

Do you have a regular doctor? If so, could he/she write you a referral? Please dont give up, keep searching......meanwhile keep posting and let us know. Prayers comin atcha'

Hi bud I just tried to PM you, your box is full.

Lollipop is right, get your GP to come out to the house, try not to take a drink between when you call and when s/he comes - by that time you should be good and rattling. GP won't dare not refer you to A & E, just in case you go into convulsions.

stone, i certainly hope you take some measure, any measure to help yourself - other than drinking yourself to near death to "qualify" for A&E. AA wouldn't hurt at this point any more than you're already hurting.
