Most counties have detox units on a 1st come 1st serve basis; you have to call ea. a.m. to see if they have a bed. Check it on internet or ask about it at an AA or NA mtg. for someone to give you a name of one. you will might want to go to a mtg as soon as you read this. Don't let procrastination be your companion. Be persistent and you will find a solution. If you are in the habit of giving up every time there are obsticles it is time to give up that character defect. Remover of Obsticles is your picture so let that be your guide. There are tons on barriers in everyone' life. Those of us who are successful at something it is simple bec we perservered. Just keep on

Stone,
It's a crime when people cannot get the help they need. I don't know about medicine in the UK, but I can tell you about the US. I have a psychiatrist who cares for me. If I told him that I needed that kind of help, it would not be questioned, He would refer me to a program. I know that depression is not always a reason to admit, but if you are at risk to yourself or others, that is a crisis. I would also think if you were in DT's or having physical symptoms, an admission to the hospital would be without question.
I don't know exactly how you are feeling and what not drinking does to you, but I know that I don't want you to die. So please take care of yourself and do what you need to do to get the help you need.
I'll be thinking about you and praying for you,
Carol

Stone...
I had to go into crisis at Behavioral Health in October. I was clean and sober
but my MD could not treat the continued depression and manic stuff. I received
the help that day after lying on a cot for four hours..(a crying mess)..but I
did receive permanent help.
Please let us know how you are.
We love you Stone.
