I made it thru my 1st month

Wow I still can't believe i have done it. It's still hard and the ride is far from over but at least I can say that this is the longest I have been sober for over 15 years. I have joined my local AA group and start helping out there this sunday, setting up etc....
I never thought I could have done this and sometimes I still think that I can't. If I just keep it simple by saying "today I will not pick up a drink", I can get through the day. I also thought I could do this alone, I now know that I cant. Who knows what will happen and where this new journey will lead me. I have no idea and to be honest I don't really think about it. I'm just focusing on today and today I wont drink. Peace to all. The universe will provide if you ask, and give you strength. I'm happy right now, It's going to be a good day.

keep going to meetings. dont stop.!!!! they save you.
well done, i know how good that 1st month feels, the second is hard so keep and i stress keep going to meetings and do the steps. IT WORKS IF U WANT IT TOO !!!!!

thankyou all so much and it was a good day too. To all the newbies out there, if I can do this then so can you, just keep going to meetings and coming in here to SR for inspiration. Good luck everyone, peace to all.
