TOPIC: CHIEF Or INDIAN. Which One Are You?
Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.
By the Grace of my HP and people
like you here in SR I havent had a
drink of alcohol since 8-11-90.
For that and you I am truely
grateful.
Have you ever heard that phrase
where there are more Chiefs
and not enough Indians?
You know where everyone
whats to be the boss....?
I often think that at my job when
there r many who love to tell others
what to do or think they own the
place....
My id like to just be an Indian....I
dont particularly enjoy telling others
what to do....or order them around...
But there are sure lots of people that love
that role...As being the boss or the Chief.
So which one are you?
INDIAN or Chief...

Well, that's the meat and potatoes behind AAs tradition one. Unity for a common cause.
I know that when I was drinking, I was convinced that if I left a company, they'd go out of business. I knew more than the engineers or even the CEO or owner themselves about business !
Or so I though.
What I was really doing was overcompensating for the fact that I felt out do place and less than.
Today, I feel part of. Especially at AA. But that is creeping into other areas of my life, like business. I'm no longer SUCH a prima donna. I'm happy to be a worker among workers.
