Hi Midas,

Thanks for the apology and again I accept it as garacefully as I can (not used to this!). I would like to acknowledge my part in this and also say openly that I behaved badly and apologise to you. I know that I can't fix anything, but I can be open and as honest as possible.

I guess if we clash then we have much to learn from each other and we can't do that if we leave.

I wish you only well Barry and echo the sentiments here please think before you leave. I left once huffing and puffing and missed SR so much.

Sending you prayers.

Kevin

This thread is honestly a blessing to us all...
What a joy to see such recovery in action.
And a model for us all.

Thank you both, gentlemen.
I gotta go wipe a lil tear...

Shalom!

For some reason, I just suddenly had this song from the 80's in my head...

Don't Go! By Yazoo

Came in from the city walked into the door
I turned around when I heard the sound of footsteps on the floor
Love just like addiction now I'm hooked on you
I need some time to get it right
Your love gonna see me through

Chorus

Can't stop now don't you know
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Baby make your mind up give me what you got
Fix me with your lovin' shut the door and turn the lock
Hey go get the doctor, doctor came to late
Another night I feel alright my love for you can't wait

Chorus

Came in from the city walked into the door
I turned around when I heard the sound of footsteps on the floor
Said he was a killer, now I know it's true
I'm dead when you walk out the door
Hey babe I'm hooked on you

Chorus

OMG Midas!

I don't really know what is going on with you at this moment but I feel as if I owe an apology to not only you but many here at SR! Is a matter of fact I have done my 8th Step and SR was on that list. I am not ready to do my step 9 yet but I know that I have not only been rude to many people here but also I have a behavior pattern here as well

I know that right now I don't want to get into everything that I need to clear my head with but that is OK.

When I first saw this post I thought, OMG it is me! This post comes right after the PM but I have dealt with that and yes it did kind of upset me then I had to look at why it upset me. Well anyways NO apology needed here, but I do accept your apology and I am learning how to do that also in recovery! This is a process Barry!

I do know that you will be missed by many and we sure do need your ESH just like we need everyone here. I haven't been posting much because I feel as if I don't really have much to offer. So whatever you decide that will be OK just do me a favor and use the email system here to email me that way I have your email address. I don't want to loose a valuable friend.

With Love and Respect

Vic

screw guilt dude....
check your motive..define your actions or in-actions clearer.
Face everything and recover....or are you going to run...run..run.
Sleep on it, pray about it.
it's always a lot easier to forgive others...it's a sob to forgive myself.
certainly..no one but no one was going to take my chair in AA,NA
disagreement or whatever, It wasn't all rosie in those meeting rooms.
Surely...it's not going to be all rosie in SR.
Principles before personalities.

Look beyound the surface, the lesson(principle) comes in many forms.
if you don't face it now, it'll show up again in a different forms (personalities)
on the surface. You can run, but you can't hide.
Apply the principles in all of my affairs....

Not all of my defects of charactors gets removes on my time.
Spiritual dose not mean being spineless. Not everyone that enters recovery or SR
are non abrasive..sometimes it takes fire to put out a fire..(appropriate)
You know....an explosion is ignited to put out oil well fires.
All the oxygen gets suck out or gets evaporated...

breath...Midas, breath...you can breath now...let it go, rid yourself of the guilt and shame.
step 10, 11, 12.
Nothing absolutely nothing happens by mistakes in god's world...there's lessons in it
for all of us. We are merely players in this thing call life..not the conductor.....it's taken out of the AA BB.lol

Hey Midas

Just thought maybe you will listen to the message from this song. I know it is the wrong gender but don't think of that listen to the words.

Hi Midas,
I'm hoping you will stick around. Y'know you would miss us if you left! And you would be missed as well. Do what ever thinking and praying about it that you must but I'm not going to beat around the bush...stay here!

You know that we are sort of like a family here and each one is important and fills a different need. Sometimes 'things' may happen but when there is unity of purpose...what can be better than that?

Thank you for sharing your heart and for your humble attitude- that is a sign of good recovery and great strength of character.

hugs,
cmc

ps.
Sorry to reply so late! I missed seeing this earlier.

To me, this thread also serves as my continual step 10.

Continue to take personal inventory, and when we are wrong, promptly admit it.

I don't seem to do anything right sometimes, and even when I try to do "the next right thing", I screw that up too.

gomen nasai! kudasai! gomen nasai! gomen nasai!
I'm very very sorry!

I'm not too sure what happened Midas but I hope you stick around. You help so many people here and your posts have so much experience, strength, and hope. I don't know what you're apologizing for but I accept your apology anyway and that shows your great recovery in action!

Pray on it and then wait before making any quick decisions. Maybe take a little time to get things in perspective.
(( don't leave ))

How to say "I'm Sorry" in other languages...

I used the Japanese form earlier. Gomen nasai.

Russian:
Извините: Izvinite

O.K. ...All right..enough with the self flagellation....

You're not Opus Dei...(hope you saw or read the Davinci Code...lol)

Midas..we tell newcomers to not beat themselves up........

We can't be doing it to ourselves either......

And besides..we're tired of the Pepto Bismol newbie Bus...

I want it golden and shimmery like your new avi...

And besides who will make funny license plates for me?????????

Oh, the new color for the bus??

Something like this.....

Love you friend,

IO
