Newbie on board here
Hello. I'm Lilhop 56. I am brand new to this site. April 25th I had 7 years sober. I was with a recovery group on WebTv before my husband got me this computer. I'm just learning the computer so any help in navigating here will be appreciated
Welcome lilhop
Glad to have you join us.
Congratulations on your 7 years. As far as getting around here... you will figure it out fast enough. The bar just above says ....New posts ... My Posts and Log Off along with other things but those three are the ones I find the most use for.
As you find a need, ask away and you will find many people willing to help.

Thanks Lollipop~That's what sharing your experience, strength & hope is all about. Everything I know about staying sober I learned from someone else at a meeting. I've learned ALOT about patience, trust and TRUTH. This is definately a better way to experience Life on Life's Terms instead of in a fog!!
They also told me- You bring the body enough, the mind will follow.
Imagine that LOL
I am glad my husband found this site and helped me get connected. He said the rest was up to me. OH NO!! That meant I was going to have to ASK for help, but you know what, I wouldn't know until I tried! Here I am, and you all came to help I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Huggggggggggggggggggggs!!!!!!
I don't ever want to drink again either so I just K.I.S.S. <Keep It Simple Sweety> and just concentrate on One Day At A Time. Sometimes it can get down to hours,or even seconds. I used to call my sponsor all "twisted up" about something so minor...
he'd tell me PAGE 449. That's in the 3rd edition of the Big Book. In the 4th Edition it's PAGE 417. It didn't matter whatever was happening, I had to learn if I had any control over it or not. It was like teaching a baby to walk and then my life got ALOT more manageable!

Hi my name is Martin and I am an alcoholic.
How you doing Lilhop? Welcome to SR, this place you will find very similar to the rooms with one exception, there are those that flat out say that they would never go into the rooms!
There are some great folks here, the majority of the folks with more then 3 months of sobriety have found theres in the rooms, but there is a sprinkling of success stories here from out side of the rooms also.
For this old drunk I found not only sobriety but happiness and freedom in the rooms after a 40 year drinking career.
