18 days sober and feeling great! In fact, I can't remember when I've felt this good! My husband, who still drinks but insisted I quit, kind of blows it off, but my mother has been a great support--as you all have been on this site. We're going to our vacation house for a long weekend. Looking so forward to getting some work done instead of sneaking the next drink. I have so much to lose and so much to gain! Looking forward to planting all of those spring bulbs and to taking my sweet Labradoodle for long romps at the lake! Could one choose fire water over this??

Hi Diane,

WELL DONE on your sober time - what a gift! Make sure you've got a plan in place for your long weekend - in case you get tempted. Taking your dog for walks sounds great - exercise and fresh air should help clear your head. Thank you for the uplifting post.
