In 2 hours..I'll have 5 days sober...
 

Nothing too inspirational to say other than I've been to some great meetings the last 5 days and talk to another alcoholic every day... I do have a function at work tomorrow night where there's going to be alcohol. I will stay for a maximum of 1 hour and bring my desire chip with me....I'll let you know how it goes....

Don't be frightened if you are tempted by the alcohol. Just hang on to that desire chip and remember all those meetings you've been to - get through this - and you'll be that much stronger for the next time. Will be thinking of you.

I did it without a drink!
 

I had to go to this function at work where there was alcohol...I went a meeting just beforehand and satyed for 1 1/2 hours without a drink....Feeling a bit stonger now....Thanks for the support..It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be..

it is so easy to backslide especially in social get togethers. way to go! your willpower gives me strength that i can do the same next time i'm faced with that situation. i was thinking of you today and wondering how you made out. thank you for the update!

Congratulations on making it through with out a drink! I was faced with that very same situation many times in my previous job, so I know how hard it can be.

I found the same to be true and for me, each time got a little easier not to drink. I hope the same for you.
