Ayla, I about LOST IT laughing at your MIL post--the ramen I was eating had a hard time staying in my mouth! (Lovely image, I know...) You paint such a clear picture with your words.

THANK YOU, everyone, for all your kind words this morning! The cobbler was a great alternative to wine, and I'm glad I skipped that. Now that the cobbler's all gone, I'll have to bake something else. It's a "comfort food" kind of day. PMS is about to arrive--I can tell. (ACK!)

After having a wonderful talk with a friend on the phone, I took the dogs out for a walk. You wouldn't believe all the crabapple trees blossoming now--the scent is absolutely intoxicating (in a good way). Oh, and we have a pair of mourning doves nesting in our backyard--they've been there for the last three springs and are sweet.

A few pages back, someone was talking about their grandmother's pie recipes--how priceless! One of my most prized possessions is my grandma's recipe box. I love going through it on a rainy day, seeing her familiar handwriting on all those slips of paper. It makes me feel close to her, even though she's been gone for a couple of years now.

I know how you're feeling. It's a little strange and awkward to ask to be included. I felt the same way a few days ago. But, this is a great group!!! I've already gotten so many wise replies to questions, supportive posts, and I've never seen so much "lurve" in my damn life! IT'S GREAT!
Don't stop coming....I already feel so much stronger from what I've learned from these women.

I just walked to the back of the house thinking it had gotten awfully, suspiciously quiet back there. Our poor, poor (boy) cat.

I was a little scarce over the weekend, so much happening, visited the baby Sat, went for long walks with my kids, played baseball with Dan, washed the car, got some vitamin D from the sun, ahhh, and had SOBER SEX, yes, I said it!! AND was much better this time, I am still learning, but growing also

Now that I have a normal work week I can catch up and chat

new baby is fantastic, so tiny, he only weighed 5lb 3oz, but very healthy, Mom and baby came home yesterday already!! So I will be there many night this week, bringing over dinners and giving breaks
