Okay sweetie.

I was hard on you last night. I wasted most of my

productive years from the time I started drinking at 34.

Never really clean, never really being sober. Relapsed

with alcohol 6 times. Education halted. Functioned as an

eligibility worker well. Sober while a social worker.

(Sober 8 years) Relapsed on and off 2 years ago,

5 and 6. My career, physical health, relationships,

all went to hell. When I saw you relapsed, I pounded

my fists on my chair, I turned to my BF and said

"TJ relapsed!" "F---!" My story. Too much of a burden for

your tiny shoulders, babe. I truly apologize.

It is just like we parents who wish to spare our children

from pain we have suffered, and cannot.

True, we have the same problems when we get sober,

some may have resolved, some worsenend, but we

cannot handle any of them and work through the issues

drunk. Okay strong girl, day 1. Show us your stuff, but

first......Easy Does It. Keep It Simple......

One Minute, One Hour, One Day at a Time.........

An aside to Bee 62:

Don't you do it! Too close to Victory!!!!!

Love,

:

Sherry

TJ please accept my apologies for thinking your friend may have been in the equation for your slip.

Hon I pray you are back on the wagon for the long haul again.

Sounds like you have a true friend if she is on your case for slipping, that is what real friends are about.

yep she is a real friend. She knows me like the back of her hand and would give me the shirt off her back, as I would her. We dont have 1 secret between us, we can tell each other everything. Most of the time we dont even have to. We've always had this thing, we just KNOW when something is going to be said that is private, just for us to know.
Although, I have made such a spectical of my drinking career that everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) that knows me, knows that about me. I've been the "party girl" all of my adult life.

gypsy all is good. Although, not sure if I'm going to make it to my meeting tonight, I feel like ****!

taz & others, you dont have to say sorry, you didnt know about my friend and I might have assumed the same thing.
Thing I need to get into my head is "celebration" time doesnt need alcohol. Why drink and not remember none of it?

something about this whole slip is making me think that the whole thing happened for a reason. I dont like the outcome though

I think that if you feel like $hit that is probably the best reason of all to get your a$$ to a meeting sweetie . If you go... I would bet that you end up feeling better (and I'm not a gambler ).

Be strong be free tj your worth it

You made it back TJ, That is all that matters.

I thank God I made it back...I've been to Jail, Rehab...What's left is death. So yes, I am so happy I made it back. At the same time it scares me to think, I may not have made it back...

Thinking of you...

TJ, may I suggest, you did NOT screw up 66 days.

You found sobriety a very real thing.

You found AA. (even when you did not want AA in the beginning!)

You found life better w/o alcohol.

You found more spirituality.

You found more meaning to life.

You found you should have spoken up to your best freind you were sober.

You found another way of life.

You found.........go ahead, fill in the blanks!

Now, ask your HIGHER POWER FOR HELP to learn from this!!!!

Gotta ask... it's about that bikini wax post you made... were you drinking while waxing?

As for the meeting... hungover or no... I still think you'd feel better going.

Missy, I went to jail once too! Wasn't alcohol related though. I slapped my ex husband across the face and went to jail for 4 hours. I dont slap anymore.

a lot of people agree that relapse is part of recovery. so proud of you for the extended sobriety you had and proud of you that you've gotten back on that horse. beer is such a perceived "party drink" and the temptation is everywhere. way to go!!
