Sounds like we may have a lot in common. With the Famally and all. Just wait till you see the true love you have been missing while you were drunk. The first time I saw it after I got sober it made all the withdral worth it. Glad to see you doing well. good luck.

day 4 now and i dont feel any withdrawl syptoms or cravings. i feel great. my skin doesnt feel dry anymore and my anxiety level is definitely going down. thanks to all and ill continue to post.

Now, don't go fooling yourself into thinking "I can have just one drink now that I'm feeling better".
Withdraw, while excruciatingly painful, is relatively easy compared to the first 30-60 days of abstinence.
That said, once my program "kicked in", the urge and desire to drink (the obsessions) were removed.

i will never fool myself into thinking i can have another drink. i absolutely know i cant handle the booze. ive never been able to have just 1 drink which is what got me where i am. i never thought id be able to think of life without drinking{football, parties ect.}, now i know i have to and i can. my mother passed while i was young of leukemia and i will never willingly put my children through that grief. if i continue to drink i know they would lose their father because of his own selfishness and stupidity. i know i have not won after 4 days but i am positive and determined to fight. ill keep posting.
