I'm still active. The longest I've had in the last 9 years is 6 days. I ask for your prayers.

The Basics

I only know the basics of staying sober - believe me, I'm no genius. These are:

1. Don't pick up the first drink.
2. Go to a meeting every day - start with 90 meetings in 90 days.
3. Get a sponsor.
4. Call your sponsor every day.
5. Always tell your sponsor the truth - the whole truth - and nothing but the truth.

These worked for me. But there's something I didn't mention - I had to hit bottom hard enough to really want to be sober. If you think you haven't truly hit bottom yet, please consider this: over the years, I have seen many senseless deaths of people who forgot about the basics of getting and staying sober (including young people with promising lives ahead of them). Please don't be one of them.

Warrington in my neighborhood!

Dear Mizraim,

I noticed that you're in Warrington? I work in Horsham (not the rehab, at a pharmaceutical company). No coincidences. Send me an e-mail if you want: luvthemcorgis******.com.
