hello all
Leedogg,
I'm so sorry you're in the situation you're in. May I suggest that you either go to an AA meeting there in B'ham or to a physician as soon as possible. There are many of your mates from the UK on this site. They are helpful and kind people. If you'd like their user names I'm sure they wouldn't mind talking with you. There's even another chap from B'ham.
The decision is totally up to you. You can seek help locally, or you can try to contact one of these folks online, or you just stay here and soak up the recovery that's here. We will support you any way we can. And we will wait for you to tell us about yourself when you are ready.
Your servant,
Ed

Hi Lee,
That is a lot to drink in one day my friend. I am not in the UK so I can't help you in person. If you want to stop, you are going to have to go and see your doc and tell them exactly what you just told us. You will not be able to do this on your own. We are here for you buddy.

Even if your wife is a GP, you still need to make an appointment because if you quit cold turkey, that can be very dangerous. I hope you can find your way back to the site in the morning. Look forward to hearing from you again.

Hey,
I'm new to on-line, but at least here you can say anything. I am sober for several months now, but my doctor is where I started. I am clean & sober and love AA. I couldn't do it alone. AA is a "we" program and so far, this place is to.
No expert, but just get help to begin...one day at a time.
I still have problems eventhough I'm sober, but dealing with them is much easier.

Confused
Hey all,
I still can't quite figure this on-line talk...I post a thread...I see it and I see people's response, but then I get lost.
Feeling good today as I went to an AA meet this morning....learning to let go of stuff that I can't change...acceptance.
Anyway, I'll keep trying to figure this out. I'm not all that computer techno gal.
