Good morning everyone,
How is everyone doing? I've stepped back from here for a little bit because life has been needing to be taken care of! I hope everyone is doing ok..
Me? Well. Went to my first meeting on Sunday. It was great, scary, but great. I was a little freaked out afterwards, but I suppose that's normal. They asked if it was anybody's first time, and I raised my hand and said, "Hi, I'm Karen and I'm an alcoholic". A was with me and you should've seen the smile on her face!They had an awesome speaker, I got some numbers and listings of meetings, and I'm hitting up another one tonight.
I've been sober for two weeks!I haven't gone this long since I was pregnant 11 years ago!
It's all good news today, we've managed to come up with the funds to stop the foreclosure, and the really BIG news is that A has decided to give her and I a shot!!! All my friends keep telling me how good I look, how much more calm I am, etc etc etc
It's all good!!!

YESSSS!! this is the first thread that I have read this morning and it put a huge smile on my face! I'm SO happy for you Karen and very proud of you. You should be proud of yourself as well. 2 weeks ~~ YOU GO GIRL!!
I'm so happy that you loved AA and are going to go to another one tonight. AND to top everything off, you got your girlfriend back. SEE all of the great things that are happening in just the first 2 weeks? Isn't it great???!!!!!
