Sober 8+ months!
I am sober now for over 8 months and I attend at least 3 AA meetings a week, but I do not get much support from husband or 3 teen-agers.
I guess I would just like to speak with others in my same situation. Lonliness is an awful burden to bare.

8 Months is a Big Deal!! Give yourself a pat on the back, and let family hang on to their resentments if they want to. They may need some more time to really start to see and believe the changes

Hia coloradoizzy, congrats on 8 months thats great going,now that you have found us theres no need for lonliness anymore.I look forward to getting to know you and reading your shares. I to have teenagers and it's not easy for them to except that things have changed or that i'm changing.

I'm tj.......but people call me tj. I'm 28 days sober today, go to 3 meeting a week and love those. I have a sponsor that I adore. This board and all of the awesome people on here will become very addicting......just thought I'd warn ya! I'm married to a great guy, have 2 kids all grown up. Daughter married and has 2 kids & 1 step kid. Son is in the army and I miss him a ton! Most of my saga is on the "I'm not sure if anyone remembers me, Hi, I'm back" thread.
Lots of cool sections in this site. make sure and check them all out

Hey,
How's everyone? Knowing there are others like me helps a great deal. I went to a meeting today - it was awesome. I've been fighting off the stinking thinking and keep positive thoughts in my mind.
I talked to my sponsor about my hubby drinking and as long as I maintain my sobriety, who cares what he does? We've been married 20 years and I guess we do our own things seperately. He's addicted to a computer game called "world of warcraft", (should be called "warCrack")so he's always busy.
Let go of those Resentments, right? I'm so grateful to be sober and how life is going. Although, I have to keep reminding myself!!
