I have reached 120 days without a drink...longest time in the longest time. i am amazed at how much better I feel, both mentally and physically. This site has been great for me and provided so much info and inspiration. Thank you all for the welcome!!

Okay, so I have been here before, posted a few times, tried to quit on my own - no luck. My demon Vodka won it's victory once again. This time however, I am taking the steps to be done. I have arranged to go to detox tomorrow, which is my mothers birthday. See, she is no longer here with me, and I think there is no better gift that I can give but to get myself better. She loved me and my children sooo much. I am sure that she is still here with us, and with her and God's support, this time I am going to succeed. I really wanted to go to inpatient, but I have no one to care for my babies through the week, and I have an excellent job that I do not care to loose. So, I am doing the detox all weekend, and then intensive outpatient through the weeks. I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. My children deserve more, I deserve more. Life does not have to be like this.
