I can see clearly now...
This song has been playing over and over again in my head for days now so I looked up the words, its says a lot about my sobriety.... I though I would share it... some of you are even old enough to remember the tune
written by Johnny Nash in 1972.
I can see clearly now the rain has gone
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It's going to be a bright, bright sunshiny day
I think I can make it now the pain has gone
And all of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I've been praying for
It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiny day
Look all around there's nothing but blue skies
Look straight ahead nothing but blue skies
I think I can make it now the pain has gone
And all of the bad feelings have disappeared
I can see clearly now the rain has gone
It's gonna be a bright, bright
Sunshiny day

Good Morning, I hope you have a GREAT DAY!!!!
Thank you for posting this song. It was my "theme song" for the first several years of my sobriety. The words are so so true.
Again, thank you.
Love and hugs,

Thanks, NYC, for planting the tune in my head for the rest of the week. LOL.
No, seriously, I LOVE this song. It's perfect for this time in our lives, just perfect. It's amazing how we interpret different songs based on what we're going through, isn't it?
Hoping for many clear days ahead.

Well...at least "my song" is no longer "I Love The Night Life" (I love to boogie...), or "A Little Help From My Friends" (I get by with a little help from my friends...I get high with a little help from my friends...).
Yeah, "I Can See Clearly Now" is more appropriate...thank goodness.
