hi-low?

Maybe it's just me, but am I alone, am I the only one who thinks that this sucks? That if it did end, that that would be okay?

I don't want to end it. But I am curious.

This is, I think, a part of addiction. It's hard. Very hard.

Gomez -

But you're not alone. We're right here. Others will be along in a bit.

Hang in there!

I think we all go through this part off and on ... the 'I want somebody right here in the room' feeling. Is that what you're talking about? The 'is this it?' thing?

I once heard that anything worthwhile takes hard work!! Sure quitting is hard, but the reward is that you get your life back. Living, feeling, breathing, enjoying - Are those worth it?

You are definitely not alone. Try going to AA meetings and looking for the similarities between other alcoholics and yourself. I do understand how you're feeling. I went to meetings for 5 months and still wanted to end it all, but when I opened my eyes to recovery and reached out for help, there were hundreds of people willing to help and love me. Alone is the last thing I've felt since then.

Sobriety and recovery are very hard work, but the rewards make every bit of effort worth it. Every AA'er wants you to know and have the life we've been given.
