Mikiglen,
Thanks for writing.
And I thought I was the only one who was "Texas Dumb." Duh. There must be a bunch of us....., ha.
I am half-way in between Longview and Texarkana, kinda. (We got our 'own slang here, eh?)
About where, did you grow up, East Texas person??
See ya,

Mikiglen,
That's cool. I work in Quitman, Mineola, Winnsboro, Rhonesboro, Simpsonville, even Little Mound, etcetera..... all the time with my job. You know, being a "G" man and all.
Haven't been sent to Whitehouse yet, but Tyler town all the time.... Heck, we used to play you guys at Whitehouse in football all the time in the playoffs.
Which college in Tyler did you attend? There's a bunch now.
My bestest bud from forever, long time, now lives in Quitman. And one of my roomates in College at SFASU lives there also in his Granmaw's old farm house, a home-town boy too, of course.
We all grew up in Lone Star. Ever heard of it? They have the 3rd largest steel mill in the country....and it is booming again with oil prices being up and all.
So, you ask: 'What's going on with me, anyway,' Same 'ole, same 'ole, just trying to get myself as good as I can be...... How about you?
See ya,
TexasDumb

And yes, in case anyone notices the time of my post, I have awoken in the middle of the night again.....and may or not can go back to sleep.
STRESS, I GUESS...
But at least this time I did go to bed real early (8:45 p.m.), so at least I got some sleep.
I have been having trouble and then more trouble sleeping for about 10 days now. Yesterday, it felt like my brain might actually EXPLODE!
Tonight, it feels better - maybe just a "small" kids basketball size.

Time2Surrender,
What takes you to Or-e-gon, my man?
I had a roommate in the Air Force that was from The Dalles, Mt. Hood.
Different breed, they are. Snow, 15-feet-deep, and they can still survive!
Oregon, and especially its coastline, probably has the MOST breathtaking scenery of all the USA, from the photos I have seen....

Time2,
Cool photo...I am a photographer by trade - 28+ years...
Oregon is sure pretty. Wish it was not so far from Texas. 'Course by plane, not so far..
I love the rocky coastline. While a photographer in Special Ops stationed in Florida panhandle near Destin/FWB/Pensacola, I grew to love the ocean.
It's pretty there, but not like your ocean and coastline.
