Withdrawals

Hey everyone, been on and off using Oxycontin for months now, using about 80mgs every 3-5 days. The thing is i am able to get a hold of Suboxon and was wondering if i would even need it? I want to get clean quick but am worried if i would hit a wall of withdrawls within a week or so without using them. I had withdrawls about a year ago from using 80mgs of OC almost daily. Im just worried, please help

I think you should talk to your dr and if he prescribes the Suboxone, then you should take it.

I do expect you will have withdrawls from the Oxycontin. I am not familiar with that drug myself, but from what I've read here from many people, there will be physical withdrawls.

Hopefully others will be along who can give you more details.

Welcome to SR Hockeyboy....!

I dont know Oxy's as im in Britian,..but ive just finished a sub detox,....!

Yes talking to your dr is major on this as it is not easy anyway,...you w/d...!

the subs can help but if you can make it without them go for it,...as subs very strong,...But a quick detox on them could help....!
Depends on the Indviuduale....?

But you must talk to a Dr as they are an opiate Blocker and have many side affects,...!

Good Luck with your Dr and keep Posting....

My own worst enemy...sometimes

Yo. Hockeyboy:
Speaking solely for myself, I'm a lousy physician. I got pretty good at conning docs to write scripts for me, which got me here (note to self: "here" is now a good place).
So, in your place I would not "get" some suboxone. See a doc, any doc and just own up. I say that because that's what I did. And just in the last few days. Mine were percocet and tramadol, both oxyconton's cousins in effect and withdrawal potential. (Please note my signature...I know waaaay too much about meds).
Withdrawal? Yup. Bad? Occasionally. But tolerable and survivable. (Watch an alcohol detox sometime, those will kill you)
I'm here for you, dude, just as the others here were here for me. And this is not advice...just my experience.
Listen to me. And this is the end of day four...
Stager

Suboxen works well but the only thing is is you can end up withdrawling from that too. I had to go cold turkey! But I did it and its been almost a month and a half and I am so happy!
