a quick hello
Hey everyone,
I'm new to this board although i've been a lurker for a while. I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been sober now for 2 days. I'm 37 years old with on and off heavy alcohol binges since college.
I went to my first AA meeting today. Other than being a little overwhelmed by the number of people (100+) it felt very comfortable. I'm going to try to go every day for a while. I've pretty much found an initial meeting schedule that I can hit every day.
Anyway... just wanted to say hello.

Welcome and congratulations on your choices.
You are off to a great start. Wish you well and I know that with enough sober time under your belt, you will find that a sober life is great. Stay with it.

Excellent plan. Get there early and stay afterwards. Talk to people
I love your username. I used to take 6 shots of vodka before ten in the morning. 6B410 was almost my username. I haven't had a drink in 82 days.

Hi and Welcome to SR!
Congratulations on making a wise move!
I think of AA meetings as classrooms for
sober living...the more you go the quicker you learn.
Keep in focus...you too CAN recover.
