I decided to give this a try. Sometimes it is hard to find meaning in support from those who are trying to stay sober since often times they seem just as crazy and out of touch as somebody who is intoxicated. That said Alcohol has controlled my life for almost ten years and I want to make a serious effort towards ending the cycle. At the moment I am having some rough withdrawal and having trouble sleeping but, it is encouraging to hear peoples stories.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I find the people on this forum wonderful and incredibly supportive. I hope you will too. There are people here at all points of sobriety, from one day to 30+ years. I hope you find what you need here.

Hi- welcome to SR. I was drinking too much everynight. When I decided to take some steps to get help I came across this site. The people here have been my rock. You will find so much support here. Best of luck to you.
