isnt it funny.....

when I drank I woul spend easily $20 to $30 a week even tho It wasnt my money ( hubbys) and we couldnt afford it.
well today is a week since I had my bottle and the tuesday gone we had a picnic where I shared two little 187mls of wine with hubby. Last weekend our computor died and yesterday we bought a new one ( well put it on HP ) and Im freaking out at the weekly payments around $28 yet didnt worry when I was wasting that on booze! Gosh my priorities where mixed up! So Im staring at this new machine that has so many bells and whistles! Ive nicknamed it wine to show me what better things you can spend your money on
Hope everyone is well take care

Insane how our priorities get so twisted around, isn't it?

For about 2 years I spent more money keeping beer on hand than on my house payment. I once lived in my house for 9 days with no electricity or heat (in the middle of winter) because even though I had the money in my pocket to pay the bill, doing so would mean over a week with no beer money. I can't count the number of times I went 5, 6, 7 days without food for the same reason.

Funny how much less stressful my financial situation is ever since I stopped spending $1,300 a month on beer.

The part that proves I'm insane, I think, is that without God and AA, I would make the choice to return to that life.

Yeah, I could spend $20.00 a day easy on Vodka.

You are so right! I caught myself debating whether or not I should spend $4+ on pomagranite juice! I had no problem whatsover keeping up my wine supply which was 1-2 bottles a night. Crazy!

Yes it is funny how we can obsess over little things and ignore the big ones... like alcohol consumption.

I know I used to obsess about all my bills and things but I always had money for booze. Now I just have money.

Peace, Levi
