Just found this site

Hello Everyone,

My name is Pam A and I just discovered this site. I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.

I have been addicted to heroin for over 20 years and have been clean for almost 6 years now. I want to stop drinking!! It has taken me a long time to realize that drinking was also a problem for me. I figured because it was legal and it was never a problem before that I could continue to drink. Needless to say I soon found out different. I have been sober for a little over a month now and I want to stay that way!!

Thanks for listening,
Pam A

Welcome Pam,
6 years clean and one month sober. That is great. Keep posting and enjoy life fully sober. Hope you will try AA/NA meetings if you have not already. Wow, you got sober last year. Again welcome.

Welcome Pam

Way To Go

Congratulations on both your clean time and sober time.

I would think that if you are doing NA meeting, they will work for you as well as AA meetings. Still though...it wouldn't hurt to give AA a try. Directed recovery focused more towards alcohol.
Wow you have made some great choices. Congratulations on your time collected thus far.
